About TOKAI OnAir

I will introduce TOKAI OnAir who are active in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.

TOKAI OnAir is a group of YouTubers working in Okazaki City. They started their activities in 2013 and now have 6.14 million subscribers. There are six members, Tetsuya, Shibayu, Ryo, Toshimitu, Yumemaru and Mushimegane.

They mainly post prank videos and videos to verify something. Those videos are very interesting, but there is one more interesting thing. The penalty for losing in a challenge video is very heavy. Penalties include end of a word changes, first-person changes, name changes, and costume changes. The punishment will continue not only while filming videos but also during their private life. It depends on  the content of the punishment, but the period is from one week to three months, and until the end of Reiwa.

These guys always playful, but in fact, they have been appointed as Okazaki tourist evangelists since 2016. Their manholes and panels are displayed in Okazaki City. In some cases, the number of residents has increased since their viewers moved to Okazaki City.

I would like to recommend two TOKAI OnAir videos.

The first one is a video of a trip home as soon as someone falls asleep. It is an annual project and has been held three times so far. The content of the video is simple: you have to go on a three-day trip and go home the moment someone falls asleep. Of course, drinking parties and exercise are also included. Three tickets will be distributed for one person to take a nap for 20 minutes. If they fall asleep, they will be counted for 5 seconds. If they wake up by then, they are safe, but if they can't, they will have to pay for the trip for the person who are left. The members who fight sleep are so funny.

　

The second is the filtration device making showdown. They came up with a plan for the member's Mushimegane to buy a filtration device and filter various drinks to guess what kind of drinking water it is, However, it couln't filtrate well, so they decided to make a filtration device by theirselves. Filtration is the muddy water of a nearby river.

TOKAI OnAir videos can be played between teams. The team formation is always disjointed, usually they are divided into liberal arts and science, and the challenge is made into a series. This video is one of them. This is a spoiler, but the science team usually makes a filtration device successfully, but the way the liberal arts team makes it is very strange. About Newstand Wow in Okazaki City

I will introduce Newstand Wow in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.

Newstand Wow sells banana juice and fresh juice. There are two types of banana juice: milk flavor and homemade almond milk flavor. There are two types of fresh juice: citrus blend and major blend. I would like to recommend the milk flavor of banana juice the most. It's very rich and delicious.

Newstand Wow was renovated a little while ago. Before the renovation, There were bananas hanging at the entrance, but after the renovation, this disappeared. Instead, bananas are suspended from trees at the entrance. With the remodeling, you can now have lunch in the store, although you can take out juice and so on. 

There are two and three pizza sets on the lunch menu. The difference is whether you can choose two or three types of pizza. Both come with soup. Lunch time is short, so you have to be careful.

Be careful when you order juice, because the straw is bamboo. You have to be careful because it will break if you bite it.

There is no parking lot, so you need to park or walk from Higashi-Okazaki Station, the nearest station, about 15 minutes away

About Minami Park in Okazaki City

I will introduce Minami Park in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. 

Minami Park is a very large park. The site includes a citizen's pool, traffic square, plum grove, tennis court and sport scuare. Models of steam locomotives are on display in the traffic square. Tennis courts have a fee, but rackets and balls are lent free of charge. The traffic square is available for free. There are many things to see, but I would like to recommend the amusement park the most.

There are cycle monorails, teacups, merry-go-rounds, Ferris wheels, etc. The view from the Ferris wheel is very beautiful and you can see Okazaki City at a glance. There's something surprising about it too. It's the price. Other amusement parks are a little expensive, but this one is very cheap. 

For example, the cycle monorail costs 60 yen and the Ferris wheel costs 100 yen. Other rides are not more than 100 yen. You can buy 100 yen, 60 yen, and 20 yen tickets at the ticket machine, and you  can get on if you give them to the staff. You can use a 20 yen ticket in case you run out of money.

I recommend taking a bus or car when you go to Minami Park. There are parking lots in six places, and 280 cars can be parked in total. It's free.

About Manpukuya in Okazaki City

I will introduce Manpukuya in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. 

Manpukuya is a ramen shop in Okazaki City. The type of ramen is Yokohama tonkotsu ramen. In addition to ramen this shop also has chilled Chinese noodle, grilled pork bone carbonara, and dumplings. However, the most popular item is the special ramen. You can choose between soy sauce and salt. I recommend soy sauce. Of course, you can choose soy sauce or salt for other ramen items as well.

At the same time, you can adjust the thickness, hardness, taste, and oil content of the noodle. It doesn't matter whether the noodles are thick or thin, but I recommend the noodle to be hard, strong and oily. The price is 950 yen. Prices vary depending on the toppings such as seaweed, seasoned egg, and char shu, but there are various toppings from 100 yen to 350 yen. This ramen is really good and the first bite and second bite are the best. However, after finish eating, the oil is very strong, so I don't want to eat more for a while. Whenever I visit Okazaki City, I always stop by Manpukuya.

It depends on the time of day, but it may take a long time to eat outside. Please pay attention to the time when you go. I have waited more than half an hour. I recommend you to eat it in the ramen shop, but there is also takeout, so please do so. Manpukuya is a four-minute walk from Higashi-Okazaki Station, the nearest station.

About Higashi Park in Okazaki City

I will introduce Higashi Park in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.

What do you think of when you think of a park? I think it's probably playground equipment such as swings and slides. 

This park is different from other parks. Of course, there is playground equipment, but there are animals, too.

For example, there are various animals such as elephants, monkey, deer, capybaras and meerkats. It's so cute. Also I was able to feed the animals and touch small animals, before the Corona pandemic.

There are also several large dinosaur models, whish are very powerful.

There's one more thing that's surprising.

This park is free.

This makes it a park that children and even people our age can enjoy very much.

You can walk from Higashi-Okazaki Station, the nearest station, but it takes 40 minutes, so I recommend you take a car or a bus. There is also a parking lot, so don't worry.
